David is a personal Getting Things Done coach run by Jerimiah Milton for a small group of invited family members. It runs on a private home server, not a commercial cloud service. This page explains what David keeps, why, who can see it, and how to remove it.
What David keeps
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your Discord user ID and display name | To know it's you and to send you check-ins. |
| What you capture and organise: inbox items, next actions, projects, areas of focus, notes | That's your GTD system; it's what David is for. |
| Your recent conversations with David | So he can follow a conversation from one message to the next. |
| Your settings: name, time zone, check-in times, contexts | To run your daily rhythm at the right times. |
| Calendar links you add, and which Google calendars you chose | To read your upcoming events for check-ins. |
| If you connect Google Calendar: an access token, stored encrypted | So David can read the calendars you chose without asking you to sign in every time. |
| If you add your own Anthropic API key: the key, stored encrypted | To bill your coaching to your own account. |
| How much AI use your conversations take (token counts, not content) | For monthly budgets and to keep costs fair. |
Calendar events are read when needed and not stored. David reads your events when preparing a check-in or weekly review, and keeps them in memory for a few minutes at most.
Google user data
If you connect Google Calendar, David requests two read-only permissions: to see the list of your calendars, and to view events on them. David uses this only to mention your schedule in your own check-ins and reviews. It never changes your calendar, never shares your Google data with anyone except as described below, never sells it, and never uses it for advertising or to train AI models.
David's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who processes your data
- Anthropic (Claude). To reply to you, David sends the relevant parts of your system (for example your inbox, today's events and the conversation) to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms; see Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Discord. Messages between you and David travel through Discord; see Discord's privacy policy.
- Google. Only if you connect Google Calendar, to read the calendars you chose.
- Cloudflare. The dashboard at my.getdavid.app is delivered through Cloudflare, which handles the secure connection to your browser; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Nobody else receives your data.
Who can see it
David never shows one person another person's lists, in Discord or on the dashboard. The person who runs David manages accounts but has no screen that shows your lists. To be completely honest: whoever runs the server can technically read its database. Your API key and Google access are encrypted; your lists are not.
Backups
The database is backed up nightly. Backups are kept for 14 days and may be copied to the owner's private cloud storage.
Removing your data
- Type
/account leavein Discord and choose Delete to erase your account and everything in it. It disappears from backups within 14 days. - Disconnect Google Calendar from Settings at any time. David also revokes his access with Google. You can revoke it yourself in your Google account permissions.
- Remove your own API key with
/apikey removeor from Settings.
